Three Action Steps To Do
Today - and Every Day!
Do you ever feel like you've been working hard at it
all day, but don't have any business success to show
for it?
Or like you're drowning in a sea of email and other
means of contact?
Maybe you just don't know where to begin each day.
Today, I've got a daily action plan that addresses those
three problems, with a solution that's practical and
straightforward.
Try these three today and incorporate them into your
routine:
Although I would suggest this first thing in the day
for many reasons, at some point every day do at least
one thing to market your business. Whether it's as large
a project as developing an ad campaign - or as simple as
tweeting and including a link - do one thing today
toward that end. The promotion of your goods or service
should never be on the back burner.
Next, to help keep 'communication clutter' to a
minimum, delete or file every email that's been dealt
with, respond or post on every social networking site
you need to, and address any phone messages that you
can. They seem to multiply exponentially and it's almost
therapeutic to clear out that excess. You'll begin the
next morning with a somewhat cleaner slate.
Finally, before finishing up for the day, pull out
your to-do list, and write out a new one based on what
was left undone. Add to it as needed. Straighten your
desk and leave your to-do list smack in the middle,
ensuring you'll see it first thing. Even if you think
you remember what you put on that list, scan it over the
following morning before diving into your first project.
I've found that when I follow the plan every
day, I feel less anxious about what I've done or
not done - and am much clearer on what I need to
do.
Try it today. Why not shoot me a quick post on
the blog to let me know how it's working out for
you?
