Last week in the May issue of The 5
Minute Bulletin Board ezine, you
learned how to assign junk mail
status to unwanted incoming email.
You should be seeing a significant
decrease in spam. This week's tip is
related.
Check your Junk Mailbox weekly
(you'll find it listed where your
IN, SENT, and other email boxes are
located) to see all the spam you
USED to get. It should bring a smile
to your face because you took those
few seconds to banish them forever.
When you're ready to get rid of them
from your computer entirely, simply
right-click on the Junk Mail Folder
, and then choose Empty Junk
E-Mail Folder.
Checking the Junk Mail folder on a
regular basis will also make sure
your filters and firewalls aren't
preventing some WANTED mail from
getting through to your In box.
When a friend complained that she
wasn't getting The 5 Minute Bulletin
Board ezine, but yet she had signed
up for it, I suggested she check
there and - you guessed it - she
found it. By simply right-clicking
on that entry in her Junk Mail
listings, she chose Add Sender
to Safe Senders List and that
was that. Problem rectified. You can
do the same.
To your success,
Tiiu Garrett
