Don't you just HATE it when you know you
scheduled something, but now can't find
it? You know it's hiding in your Outlook
2007 calendar somewhere.
Let's say your best client's birthday is
one you just can't let pass without
acknowledging. But when is it?
Forget about scrolling through the whole
thing.
With your Outlook calendar open, look at
the top just above the first line of
dates. Over on the right, you'll see a
Search Calendar field.
Simply type the name (or any other word
to search on), and up loads a list of
all appointments and entries which
include that name.
If your calendar has 12 entries with
that particular name in it, they all
show up in a concise list.
VERY handy, especially as a neat
reminder before getting on the phone
with the client.
With your search results in front of
you, you can show that you're on top of
things and not about to forget next
week's telephone conference. Or the
birthday.
And guess what? In the same spot on the
screen, you'll find a search box in ALL
functions of Outlook, not just its
calendar.
You'll find one for contacts when in
that mode, for notes when in that one,
etc.
This is one of those small useful
tools that's in front of you all the
time, but quite possibly you didn't
see.
I now use this feature all the time. You
might, too.
To your small business/home business
success,
