Let's take care of a bit of housekeeping
first...
If you don't see some beautiful autumn
leaves going down the left side of this
email, please scroll up to the top of
your email and if it says, 'Having
trouble viewing this email? Click

appear in a few seconds.
Okay now, back to business.
In MS Excel, when you need to carry a
number all the way down a column - or
across a row - there's a simple way to
do this.
Click on the cell you want to copy. A
tiny little 'x' will appear in the
bottom right corner when you hover in
that area with your mouse.
Grab and drag that across the cells you
want to populate. It's that easy.
A simple application for use with this
is to create a column of consecutive
dates.
Highlight the first three cells (with
the dates typed in) and repeat the above
process.
You will only have access to one 'x' at
the bottom of the group of cells you
chose, not three of them.
Once you drag down, the program 'knows'
to keep inserting consecutive dates for
you.
It's a simple and very handy tool to
know.
"X" truly marks the spot.
